Why do you think the blog author describes it as a “so-called client alert?”
And why do you think the mentions of the client alerts by the media are significant?

Why are mentions of client alerts significant?
Most client alerts written by most law firms aren’t read by anyone other than their authors. In other words, they’re a complete waste of time and energy.
When a client alert gets mentioned in such a widely-read publication as the Wall Street Journal, it stands a good chance of being noticed by someone other than the author. That is, it could actually serve to help drum up business.
