Legal Samples
This first sample is a review of a survey by the Association of Corporate Counsel. It discusses, among other things, the major concerns that corporate counsel have with outside counsel:

The following samples are from two courses I authored:

The next sample is a client alert I revised:

And here’s the revised alert (html).
I wrote an amicus brief in the case that began as Newdow v. U.S. Congress, more commonly known as the Pledge of Allegiance case.
I had been following the case for some time. Not long after SCOTUS granted cert, there were scores of briefs supporting the petitioner — The Elk Grove Unified School District. Even the United States — which was no longer a party to the case — actively supported the petitioner. There were just two briefs supporting the respondent — Michael Newdow.
I decided to file an amicus brief supporting Newdow. As you review it, keep this in mind — there were just two weeks between the time I decided to prepare a brief and the time the brief was filed.
Two weeks!

This next sample is a warranty I wrote for a software developer. Unlike many software warranties, this one assigns specific responsibilities to the developer. And that’s a smart thing to do, both from a legal standpoint and from a marketing perspective.
